If you are the type who dislikes essay writing, you can relate to this.
Whenever teachers require us to write dissertation, I always think of not submitting anything because I do not like to write. I am the type who cannot organize thoughts but not in general. I am just choosy and most of my choices do not include any academic paper.
However, there was one instance when our teacher required us to write an essay about conspiracies so I chose the assassination of a prominent figure. The topic greatly interested me so I gladly, whole-heartedly wrote my essay about it. I realized that I could not be stubborn at all times: I still can function in thesis writing.
I think writing is for everybody. We just have to find the right topic to write about, and then we all can function as writers. Even if we cannot do writing professionally, once we find our “niche”, then we can start from there.
We should therefore be open-minded about everything. Never close doors for some things that we find disinteresting. For every rule and convention, there are always exceptions.
